Charlie Bird sadly is diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. It is progressive and fast to affect the voice. Technology is in place. All of Charlie’s TV work/Radio/Correspondence while abroad has been accessed and it means that when sadly he can no longer speak, technology will step in using all of the above. Augmented reality; artificial intelligence, adaptive technology … so many people who have disabilities have been so empowered for decades now thanks to progress in digital and technology.
