It used to be said what is done in Vegas stays in Vegas; but globalisation has ended this. Ukraine invasion, 5th largest producer of wheat, largest of sunflower oil and a major supplier of potatoes has a dependent global market that will be starved; it will be the poor who suffer most and that is countries like Yemen, Somalia, North Africa. There will be famine, and Ukraine is no stranger to Famine. Holodomor happened in the 1930’s (Stalin driven) as he exported wheat etc and starved the population. Now it is Putin’s Russia who took the Crimea by invasion and the Donbas, but that is not enough, they want land straight down to the Crimea; and then of course it is Odessa, the prize where they already have their military ships of war positioned.
