COVID-19: almost 2 years. As Christy Moore said “We Hope but we Fear.” An Italian doctor described these harrowing times in the context of World War II and saying we are only in year 1941/42 in the nightmare of this Pandemic. Hope: We have to build ourselves and our competancies during these times. There is an opportunity to buy back experiences and learning we could have had but we didn’t have the time. To anyone who knows a person who wants to learn more about Reading Writing Numeracy Digitalisation, Minister Simon Harris introduces something new today and we should encourage people to engage, especially the elderly community. Social housing for the elderly often have a communal area, these should be used to best advantage. They also have computers … we need to be a Literate Society and that includes everyone.
