“BANKRUPT” Seán FitzPatrick, former chairman of Anglo Irish Bank wants to build a second four-bedroom house on a site adjacent to his family home in Greystones, Co Wicklow. Almost 10,000 family homes have been repossessed by banks in Ireland since the crash of 2008 yet FitzPatrick, 73, and his wife, Caitriona, were granted permission for a four-bedroom, two-storey modern-style home on the site late last year following an appeal to An Bord Pleanala. Now they have lodged plans to divide the site up and incorporate a second four-bedroom, two-storey home in the former grounds of Meadow Garden. Anglo Irish Bank was bailed out putting debts of €32 billion on the Irish people which we pay for by 10 years of austerity, increased taxes and cuts to services.
