Peter McVerry Trust: Dereliction destroys our cities, our towns, our country: This does not have to happen. Tackle the hideous bureaucracy in our local councils (31 of them) and let’s get properties back into the market. Landlords are leaving the market because of the liabilities they face so this in turn is creating the shortage in supply and hence the homelessness and the waiting list for affordable housing (10 year Plus). Why is Repair & Lease 2016 not roaring ahead; the answer is the bureaucrats?
