It’s not perfect, but it’s good enough! The Garda resigned after dismissal process was started against him - he is not a serving police officer any more. We got written and verbal apologies from the very top management, Drew Harris and from the Minister for Justice, Heather Humphries Sharing of intimate images is now a crime punishable by up to 7 years in prison. I was part of the campaign to bring this into law. Some improvement to GSOC and Garda disciplinary process are in the new Policing Bill. I had pressed the Ministers for Justice on this. It will never feel enough, but I think Dara would be pleased with what we have done. It’s been a long tough way, four and a half years. It’s taken a lot from our whole family. We remember the precious lives we have lost on the way, the kind Claire Ni Fhearghail and my love, Dara’s father, Terry Quigley.
